A leading systems and engineering practitioner renowned for the provision of comprehensive expertise in a range of exciting defence and aerospace programmes currently requires the services of a number of experienced Systems Engineers from a Defence sector background. As a Systems Engineering Consultant the successful candidate will be expected to be able to assess the engineering needs of a project, develop the systems engineering approach and work with the project manager and product engineers to deliver the solution. They will be expected to provide technical leadership to a number of clients across the UK.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Assessing the Systems Engineering needs of a project and making recommendations for the way forward - Leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers - Acting as the main point of contact on all technical issues - Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of Systems Engineering methods and tools
Required skills by the client:
- Knowledge of various Systems Engineering Lifecycle models and standards - Acting as the point of contact for stakeholders and/or suppliers - Providing advice or guidance on the implementation of Systems Engineering methods and tools - Knowledge of various Systems Engineering Lifecycle models and standards - Ability to develop bid, system or product solution strategy - Coordination of a multi-disciplinary team during bid, development and/or test phases of a project. - Ability to write Systems Engineering Management Plans - Experience of leading customer requirement, supplier design or interface analysis workshops - Experience of leading Systems Engineering reviews (e.g. SRR,SDR, PDR,CDR,TRRS) - Experience of participating in Change Control Boards (CCBs)
