Our Client is a substantial provider of dedicated warehousing and transportation solutions to a premium high street supermarket group. Reporting to a General Manager and with frequent daily relationships with both customer and operational colleagues, the DGM will have a full and unencumbered remit to deliver against demanding KPIs and overall customer results. You will plan and organise work loads, staffing levels, employee welfare and planning whist providing inspirational leadership and team-building capabilities in this high case throughput operation.
Of graduate calibre, you will possess proven food logistics skills gained in either a 3PL or in house retail operations. You will have proven expertise in large scale warehousing operations, in an unionised environment, where people really count. You will have detailed leadership and team building capabilities, together with a broad range of interpersonal skills. A passion for development will be essential as will the appointees ability to make an early and sustained impact on this prestige account.
