Company Information:

*Multi-million pound turnover in the UK and part of a larger international company with over 20 years experience in this sector. *A manufacturer of high quality food products with a reputation for using natural clean and healthy ingredients. *Experiencing growth year on year, with expansion into new markets across the world. *Major plans for expansion in Continental and Eastern Europe has driven the need to recruit a Sales Director.

Essential Criteria:

*A demonstrable track record of sales within the food industry at a senior level. *Hands-on experience of successfully directing sales teams *Experience of developing and implementing a sales strategy. *A background of building new business in a highly competitive market. *Impressive professional credentials and career history

Ideally You Will Have The Following:

*A qualification in a food technology related subject. *Existing relationships built across a number of sectors within the food industry. *European language skills would be beneficial.

Role Responsibilities:

   

*Developing and tracking account plans to achieve annual sales and gross margin targets at existing customers *Creating a business development plan, targeting new customers, working with the Sales Manager in the defined sectors *Liaising with our RandD teams to manage flow of “briefs” (e.g. development projects) for customers *Working with colleagues in sales and marketing to develop sales promotional activities *Using insights developed from your observations of the market to direct new product and new customer development initiatives *Working with colleagues to help review and refine our value propositions for products and services
