Executive Director – US Markets International Sales Division Our client is an exciting, fast-growing and successful International Fund Manager and Private Client Wealth Management firm with a large range of Institutional and Offshore Clients. Due to continued growth, they now have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to work as a technical Executive Director within their International Sales division based in London. In a new initiative, they are looking to expand the US market by advising on managing funds for US citizens wherever they reside through the use of sophisticated tax efficient investment and insurance programs. These include: Pension Funds Deferred Variable Annuities Private Placement Life Insurance Segregated accounts Insurance Dedicated Funds The purpose of the role will be to educate the professional and fiduciary on the use of tax efficient investment and insurance programmes as potential solutions that the company can offer to their clients’ tax issues. The successful candidate will have previous technical experience of designing and/or selling private placement insurance products within US tax compliant planning vehicles, providing legal and due diligence reviews and regulatory advice. Key responsibilities for this role will include: • Developing relationships with pension trustees and fiduciaries, professional
accountants and attorneys, private banks and wealth advisors and direct referrals from private clients • Identifying potential investors whose risk / return profile closely matches the company’s product offering • Leading the sales process and secure new investors • Managing the client relationship post acquisition, ensuring continuity of business • Providing tax efficient solutions and structures to US clients The successful candidate will be highly proactive and self motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and able to demonstrate the following: • An expert understanding of US estate planning such as on the use of life insurance and pension funds • A good understanding of the complexities of the US tax regulations • Strong contacts with a range of US Introducers • Good prospector with a proven track record of acquiring new clients • Resilient with good closing skills • Strong verbal and written presentation skills • Very focused, hardworking and diligent • Analytical and able to research the market and create effective sales strategies • Educated to degree level, preferably in Taxation Laws This is a new and exciting opportunity to bring together structures and investment plans through the technical aspects of tax and insurance benefits.
