We now seek to recruit an accomplished and progressive Finance and Administration Director to work with our Managing Director and senior management team, to build on our successes and to assist in positioning the business to fully exploit its opportunities.
You will be responsible for all financial matters of Guava International Ltd., and will work closely with the Managing Director, senior leadership and board of directors to develop and implement strategies across the organization. In addition, you will oversee all aspects of the accounting and finance functions of the business and be directly responsible for all administration, facility management and logistics.


Key responsibilities of the post:

Finance
• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
• Oversee cash, investment, and asset management.
• Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
• Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
Planning, Policy, and Business Relations
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.
• Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
• Participate in company policy development as a member of the senior management team.
• Engage the finance committee of the board of directors to develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.
• Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, suppliers, dealerships, auditors, public officials, etc.
• Remain up to date on best practices.
Business Development
• Support the MD in identifying financial products and services that assist in securing long term dealer relationships
• Responsible for initiating customized value-added services, with key commercial advantages, that differentiate services of Guava International Ltd., from other potential suppliers and that generate interest within the target market
• Seek and acquire feedback from the market about the value of services offered and contribute to the conceptualization and development of new value propositions.
Accounting, Tax and Administration
• Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function; supervise the company’s finance staff.
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for the company, the board of directors and appropriate governmental agencies; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.

    • Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and maintain professional and productive relationships with relevant taxation authorities and officials. Ensure full and timely claim returns on the company’s VAT payments
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
• Oversee the management of the building and site
Human Resources
• Oversee the activities of the HR Section
• Ensuring the compliance with all relevant employment and health & safety legislation.

Logistics
• Oversee the activities of the Logistics section
• Ensuring effective and timely coordination of plans and programmes and cooperation with the GFS Aftersales organization

Information Technology and Business Systems
• Responsible for managing the company’s IT and business systems infra-structure, ensuring the business has the IT capabilities sufficient for its needs
• To ensure effective coordination between the company and Group IT, avoiding duplication of effort and optimizing areas for systems deployment and development


Ideal candidates will possess:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
• 5 to 10 years of senior management experience working within an organization with regional/international business.
• A thorough, practical, understanding of overall business disciplines and how real business needs can be addressed effectively with pragmatic solutions.
• An advanced level of written and verbal communication/presentation skills is essential.
