My client is a leading waste management service provider. It provides waste collection, treatment and recycling, and disposal services to around 75,000 local and national customers in the industrial, commercial and municipal sectors. My client has one of the largest waste collection networks in the UK, with 86 depots and over 1,500 vehicles which collected over four million tonnes of waste last year from around 75,000 industrial and commercial customers and over one million households.

They are looking to bring on board a general manager to look an area in east London within the M25. Experience of operating curbside and commercial collections is necessary as is commercial experience to increase the areas profitability.

You will report to senior directors and have team managers reporting into you, therefore you will be able to converse on a number of levels. You will hold responsibility for customer service, profit and loss, Logistics, Finance, Legal, Health & Safety, Human Resources, ICT, Business Improvement, Operations and Transport.
