An opportunity has arisen for an experienced; people focused General Manager to join a leading in-house operation. The role`s specific focus is to run operations to maximise output in a cost effective manner in line with the company`s distribution strategy.

The successful candidate will be someone who can lead, motivate and develop teams successfully in a pressurised and fast moving environment. You will ensure the highest standards of service, people development, safety and employee relations in a Unionised Environment.

Having full site PandL you will plan, supervise and deliver service excellence against demanding KPI`s focusing on operational excellence.

Ideally you will be degree qualified or have a professional qualification or equivalent. To be successful you will have a track record of operational management in sites of at least 200,000 sq ft and c400+ employees. Transport experience, preferably to the level of a CPC would also be desirable.

As an accomplished General Manager, your current or earlier background will have been gained within a fast paced retail or FMCG warehousing operation in either 3PL or in house.
