This specialist Property Investment company are looking to recruit a Group Fund Accountant to join their established finance team. You must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with REAL ESTATE/PROPERTY FUND EXPERIENCE and will be primarily responsible for the preparation of quarterly consolidated Fund Management Accounts and consolidated Fund annual Financial Statements. You will manage external auditors, and outsourced accounting firms, provide provision of technical accounting advice on existing and potential investments and assist in the financial due diligence for potential investment acquisitions.

In particular, the Group Fund Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

• Review of the Project sub-consolidations prepared by the Fund Accountants and outsourced finance teams.
• Consolidation of the Project sub-consolidations to the Divisional (Fund) consolidation on a project by project basis.
• Review of the fund consolidation prepared by the outsourced finance team.
• Preparing Group consolidated management accounts and management reports on a quarterly basis
• Management of outsourced finance teams to ensure accurate accounting of investments in compliance with UK GAAP, and timely reporting.
• Provision of investor information on a quarterly, yearly and ad-hoc basis.
• Liaising with Joint Venture Partners to review the accuracy of financial reports and ensuring a high standard of information quality for JV Board consideration.
• Management of the audit process and audit teams, ensuring that audit files and working papers are accurate and complete.
• Assisting with the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements and liaising with external auditors to ensure that all internal filing deadlines are met.

    • Assisting in the review of Statutory Accounts produced by the Senior Fund Accountants and out sourced firms.
• Involvement in due diligence on potential investment acquisitions; understanding the structure of investment acquisitions and disposals including tax structures; and provision of related technical accounting advice.
• Critically review tax returns, tax computations and linking financial accounts through to tax computations and understanding relevant tax issues.
• Ensuring that budgeting, variance reporting and forecasting systems are robust to maintain control over expenditure within the group.
• Providing high quality performance reviews for various platform investments. This includes financial commentary and analysis on key variances and trends.
• Provision of advice to business unit managers/surveyors and outsourced finance teams on transactional tax, accounting and financial issues.

To be considered for this role, the Group Fund Accountant should be a highly motivated, committed and proactive individual, with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. They should be highly proficient with complex consolidations and possess strong technical accounting knowledge. They should also possess a sound knowledge of UK tax laws and have strong IT skills, whilst knowledge of Navision (Accounting Software) would be a distinct benefit.
