Our client, an East of England NHS organisation, is currently seeking a Head of Business Development. Reporting on an interim basis of 3-6 months to the Director of Provision, you will be responsible for identifying and potentially exploiting any potential business opportunities for Provider Services.
This will include coordinating the delivery of tenders and responses to other business opportunities whilst promoting Provider Services as a provider of choice. You will have the responsibility to
- Coordinate formal responses to tenders - Lead the marketing function effectively - Promote the benefits to commissioners of Provider Services - Lead negotiations with external stakeholders to gain their agreement
You will develop collaborative, trusting relationships with partners including Users, GP`s, Social Care, Voluntary Sector, District Council and anyone else who has an interest and responsibility to contribute to the well-being and health of service users. This through the implementation of the Provider arm business strategy and developing and implementing policies and services for Business Development in line with the Trusts policies.
Our client requires that the post holder possess a good understanding of partner agencies contribution to meeting the health needs of service users in the local area, along with
- Experience of health care delivery in a range of settings (e.g. private/voluntary sector). - Demonstrable experience of strategy development at a Senior level. - Detailed knowledge of provision of health services, including different models of delivery. - Understanding of current people management development initiatives within the NHS. - Excellent negotiation and people management skills.
