An exciting prospect has arisen to act as a Health and Safety Officer providing support and training and continuing development of Provider Services and Risk Assessors within an NHS Trust. The opportunity will be co-ordinating the development of risk management functions throughout Provider Services in line with local, regional and national guidance and statutory requirements The post-holder will support the Head of Risk and Assurance on emergency planning within Provider Services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities; *To manage the Health and Safety function on a day-to-day basis *Implement a Risk Management culture within Provider Services and manage the non clinical risk function. * Ensure that compliance is in accordance with timescales set out by the Department of Health and that any self assessment returns are submitted within these timescales for all standards. *To undertake project management functions as requested by the Head of Risk and Assurance.

The ideal candidate will possess a qualification in IOSH or equivalent qualification. They will have 2 years relevant experience. Previous NHS experience is desirable.
