MANAGING DIRECTOR – METALS – NICKEL ALLOYS:

A superb opportunity to spearhead the development of one of the worlds leading stockists and suppliers of high-performance nickel alloys and stainless steel products. You will lead the leading and most innovative subsidiary of the parent group with full P & L responsibility. They have arguably the best international reputation in the world and pride themselves upon high quality and service. To build upon recent successes they require a dynamic Managing Director who can take them to the next level.

The role will be to manage key established high-end accounts and in essence, to help the business develop itself at a senior level. The role will involve close contact on a daily basis with major clients and will involve close control over all operations. Recruitment, training, operations and sales will all fall under your overall control.

Candidate:

You would have to be based in the North of England. Ideally, you need to be within an hour of Yorkshire to report into the head office when required and be able to cover the UK and the globe when needed to meet customers and clients.

You will need at least 5 years’ senior level P & L experience from a metals related background. Ideally, this will be in a nickel-alloys related company. In addition, man-management experience is a necessity, as you will look after a team of approximately 25 reports. High-levels of charisma and business knowledge are absolutely essential.

You must be prepared to travel, have strong time management skills and be confident at giving presentations, as you will be required to give them on occasions. A proven track record of success is essential. It is an ideal role for an ambitious character, as it gives the opportunity of being a board member for an established international company.
