Marketing and Internal Communications Manager


Perth, Manchester, Leicester, East Anglia / £55,000 Plus Bonus and Benefits

Could be located in Perth, Manchester, Leicester, Glasgow or East Anglia, depending on personal circumstances. Travel will be required to the various business locations.

The client is a well known B2C and B2B2C corporate, a brand leader, and a UK FTSE with operations based throughout the UK. The company is embarking on a thorough examination of operating processes, developing a culture of Continuous Improvement, across Customer Support, HO and Operations, which will involve a plethora of stakeholders, and in this respect there is a necessity for high quality and focussed Communications, both internally and externally. Reporting to Director level, this role is key to delivering the very highest levels of awareness, involvement and recognition to the stakeholders as well as promoting the programme to senior management and key sponsors. Key responsibilities include;

• Identify target audience groups across the Business and externally, and create / leverage appropriate communication channels to effectively reach target audiences
• Develop and own the Process Excellence communication plan and network of contacts, ensuring there is a feedback mechanism to capture questions and create closed-loop communications responding to needs
• Leverage and work closely with other internal communications team to leverage best practice and align to broader campaigns and standards

    • Run campaigns in collaboration with CI Champions and embedded communication network to drive consistent messages
• Create high quality templates, standards and branding to drive effective internal recognition
• Prepare core briefs and communication content and copy to the highest standard
• Test communication effectiveness on a regular basis via questionnaires and qualitative research / focus groups
• Manage sign-off process to ensure affirmed communications before release
• Develop and maintain the intranet website for the Programme
• Deliver clear and consistent communications regarding CI progress.
• Develop communications to promote Customer & Operational Excellence to key external parties, such as business partners and vendors.

Experience of creating and delivering communications across a large organisation is required, which could be either external or internal comms, either in-house or agency, the key are the communication skills. You will need to demonstrate you have the ability to plan, work to deadlines, implement and monitor extremely effective communication campaigns. Highly organised with strong project management skills, you have all the tools you need to get results - including outstanding influencing and communication skills.
