Reporting to the Financial Controller (based in London), this role involves the following responsibilities:

 Assist in the implementation of MRI across the various sites
 Meeting various users and training them to use MRI
 Establishing relationship with Managing Agents and acting as the point ocf contact for all queries relating to MRI
 Take on complete responsibility for the day to day monitoring of the accounting and management system and where necessary post the basic accounting entries.
 Review of the property manager’s entries on the management system and
 Ensure smooth running of the property management software and produce quarterly management reports.
 Carrying out all relevant reconciliations – rents, bank, suppliers statements, inter company loans etc to ensure the accuracy of the information.
 Providing information for VAT and other statutory returns to the relevant advisors on time and assisting with any tax compliance matters.
 Work with the Asset Manager on producing and monitoring budgets including capex budgets.
 Work with the Financial Controller to produce monthly cashflows and monitor daily cash movements.
 Assist the Financial Controller in providing quarterly management accountants.
 Assist the Financial Controller with bank reporting.
 Year end statutory reporting and audit.
 Attending quarterly management meetings with the managing agents.
 Preparing annual property and corporate budgets.
 Monitoring the weekly bank movements and the bank reconciliation schedules prepared by the accounts assistant.
 Weekly authorisation of invoices and cheque run for the London Portfolio (in accordance with the authorisation procedure)
 Overall responsibility for the Company Secretarial records relating to this portfolio

Career Progression

As the portfolio grows, the role will expand to include more properties and a chance to take on additional responsibilities.

The individual

The role is a very varied position that will provide the perfect development opportunity for someone who is newly qualified and is looking to build on previous experience within the property sector (probably 1-2 years of experience).

The role also requires a high degree of liaison with the property managers and Luxembourg administration.

Knowledge of the MRI system will be an advantage. Knowledge of German is essential.

The role would involve a considerable amount of travel within Germany and also to London and Luxembourg.
